Assignment 2- Penelope Pierson- I Didn't Like "The Teenage Brain

To be completely honest, the last book I read this year was The Teenage Brain. Though I finished the book because it was an assignment, I wouldn't say it was the most interesting. Most of the topics focused on content I had already learned form AP Psych last year, yet the rest of the filler in the book was the writer adding statistics on statistics of pointless information that reinforced the main idea of the chapter. While this may be seen as beneficial to those looking to get statistical proof as to why their teenager acts as they do, for someone like me, this information was nothing but repetitive, and the writing style bored me as I read this waiting for my brother to get out of his swim practice. Sometimes, I was even more interested in watching my brother flop into the water than stare at a book I needed to get done before my official summer started.

So, to conclude, this book was, to say the least, uninteresting, and I would not have even touched it if it wasn't an assignment.
