Davis Mattingly- Assignment 7- I want to swim with the fishes

My ideal college path is actually two colleges; For the first 2 years of my college career, I want to get my undergrad in Marine Biology at Xavier University (or any college in that area- I’m not exactly loyal to one particular university), for two main reasons. First, it being in Ohio means I would have a safety net, due to most of my family living there. Any college near the coastline would be several hours away from any family member, but Ohio is right in the middle of all of them. Most importantly, however, is the fact that it would allow me to intern, or possibly even properly work at Newport Aquarium, for proper experience in the field to put on my resume. After those 2 years getting used to living on my own, I’d apply for the University of South Carolina to finish out my doctorate, and hopefully the coastal university would allow for lots of hands-on experience in the field.
