Assignment 14 Juliann Hyatt I don't like turkey

Thanksgiving in my family marks the beginning of a period of vaguely organized chaos that will last for the next month and a half. Between four birthdays, Christmas, New Years, the end of the calendar year, finals, applications, and gift buying, it gets hectic.

This year in particular was stressful for another reason entirely. Over the summer, my mother’s mom passed away and it hit her hard. We were all worried about how Thanksgiving would go, especially because we were not invited to her father’s thanksgiving. However, at my dad’s mom’s, Thanksgiving day we had some of my mom and dad’s friends come over to ear with us, and the table was so packed, my brother and I were booted off to the kids' table, which we had never had before. Overall, it all went pretty well, even though I spent most of the time writing my GSP application. No major drama, and the food was great.
