Wow, another topic I really don't have much to say about, but how I wish I could. I can remember going to Maine as a really small kid, but I don't remember too much. I do remember however, going to China in the summer of my 5th grade going into 6th. It was the first time meeting my extended family outside of when I was a baby and honestly I was completely lost. I had pretty much forgotten how to speak Chinese outside of a few phrases so I couldn't be anywhere without my mom. Sadly, I didn't get to sight-see as much as people thought I did. It was an annual visit my mom makes to China that my brother and I decided to go on, and we spent most of that time at the apartment my extended family lived in. Life was really comfortable and they lived in a big city, sadly the name forgoes me. I remember every night, my uncle would go out and come back with these bags of just sticks of grilled meat, and I can't even start to explain how amazing they were. I could eat them for every meal of every day, and they always had different spice levels as well.
On the other hand, I've traveled to the big cities; Chicago, New York, Los Angeles. Culturally though, the only one that really stuck out to me was New York. It hurts the heart to see the amount of homeless people that only have the street at night, and it hurts to be unable to do anything about it. Despite this, I definitely want to be able to travel more, in and outside of the states.
