"If your family does not eat a whole turkey on Thanksgiving then you're all godless communists." - Mr Wise
This year's thanksgiving was different than most in several ways. Firstly, it happened. Before we came to Kentucky we rarely had Thanksgiving celebrations. We started only 3 years ago. Secondly, in those previous three years, we had spent Thanksgiving with many other people, friends and visiting family. However, this Thanksgiving, my mom was called into work and so we had to prepare all the food and eat in less than 4 hours. It was a bit sad because the usual faces of my friends Faham, Ahnaf, and Azwad and their families couldn't join us but we still had fun as a family. While we did have some trouble finishing it all and we are all very tired of turkey, I am happy to say that we are not godless communists.
