Assignment 9 - Landon d'Angelo

War is often a tool of greed. This being said, there is a time for war. This does not mean that it is always just. If a nation is under attack or threat from another then the nation must prioritize the safety of its people. As a last resort, war may be necessary to protect a nation's resources or people. While this is true, war often harms the innocent. Civilians not in control of their own situation or are in the wrong place at the wrong time are injured or killed as a byproduct of the war. This is unjust, but the reality is that a nation must be able to protect itself in order to survive. An alternative to war is to compromise on the argument between the nations, but if no agreement is made, war may be the last thing a nation can do. A nation has a responsibility to ensure the safety of its own people. If it can't, what right does it have to govern them?
